Q. How can I ensure I only pay for the amount of water I use?
A. If your business does not have a water meter, it may be a good idea to look into having a meter installed. If your premises are fairly large, but you only have a few appliances that use water, you may find that you will save money with a meter. With a water meter you are only paying for the water you actually use, and you can keep an eye on any leakage that may otherwise go unnoticed. Q. Can I spread the cost of my water bill?
A. Yes, this can be done in various ways, depending on your annual water consumption. If your business uses over 10,000 m3 of water each year we can arrange for your meter to be read and billed monthly. This will reduce your leakage risk, as you will notice any large increases in consumption.

If you do not want to have your meter read monthly, or you use under 10,000 m3 of water per year, you can elect to pay by direct debit in monthly instalments. For further information please contact business.care@bristolwater.co.uk

Q. Am I currently paying too much for my water?
A. If you use a lot of water within your business (over 20,000 m3 per year) you may be eligible for a reduction in your water charges. Customers who use over 20,000 m3 per year on a single site can apply to join our Major User Tariff scheme. The scheme not only offers a reduction on the cubic metre water charge, but also an anual fixed charge regardless of the number of meters you have on your site. Q. Can I have a single point of contact at Bristol Water, so I do not have to speak to lots of departments that are not familiar with my needs?
A. This is one of the fundamental reasons the BusinessCare department was set up. We have dedicated account managers that will follow your query from beginning to end, ensuring you are always dealing with someone who knows your business needs.
