Important Information About Choosing a Meter
If you pay for your water based on the rateable value of your property you may gain from going onto a metered basis of charging. The What sort of water user are you section helps you estimate what your bill could be, based on your predicted water usage. If you choose to have a meter fitted, your sewerage charges will also be calculated on the same basis.
If you decide to proceed, complete the application form in the leaflet. We will then carry out a survey. Fitting will normally be free of charge for domestic customers if the pipework and space available is adequate and the surveyor decides the meter location. We aim to survey and fit the meter on our first visit and it's not always necessary for you to be present. If you wish to have your meter fitted in a specific location you may have to pay additional costs and our surveyor will explain these to you. In certain circumstances, it may not be possible to fit a meter so our surveyor will discuss the options with you if this is the case. For more details on what happens next, click here.
If you opt to be metered you will commit yourself to certain conditions, some of which are set by Government, by the Regulator,OFWAT and some by us. Click here to read the terms and conditions.
