Infrastructure Charges
Every water company charges an Infrastructure Charge to cover in part the extra demand that each new supply places on our water distribution system. The charge is a contribution to the cost of providing the infrastructure of pipes, pumping stations and treatment works necessary for the provision of water services
The Infrastructure Charge applies when a new water supply is connected for domestic purposes, and is due for payment once the connection is made and is capable of providing water for domestic use.

Sewerage Infrastructure Charges
In addition to our Infrastructure Charge, if your development drains, either directly or indirectly, to a public sewer you will also be required to pay a Sewerage Infrastructure Charge directly to Wessex Water.
An invoice for this charge will be sent to you by Wessex Water when the charge is due. If you have any queries about the invoice you receive from Wessex Water please contact them on 01225 526222.
Payment of Our Charges
Full payment of the Connection Charges must be received before we will carry out the work to make the connection. The Infrastructure Charge can be paid at the same time or deferred until the supply is connected. However once the Infrastructure Charge becomes due, interest on the amount, court costs recovery costs and legal fees will be added to the debt unless it is paid promptly.
