Graduate/apprentice programmesGraduate programme Our Graduate Programme aims to recruit and develop engineers who can perform to a high standard within Bristol Water plc. The Graduate Programme lasts for two years and consists of an induction period designed to provide a thorough understanding of the company, a series of placements across the Engineering department and project work. By the end of the two years you will be in a position to take up a junior engineering role within the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering department. You will be supported throughout the process by a senior manager who will be your mentor, an ex-graduate engineer who can share their experience with you, and the HR Team. There are currently no graduate vacancies, however to be included in our next intake please register your interest by signing up for job alerts ticking the Graduate Scheme box Apprentices Apprentices are valued at Bristol Water plc as they will play a part in our continued success. Our Apprenticeship Scheme offers young people the chance to gain valuable experience whilst being sponsored by the Company to study formal qualifications and getting paid. To join our Apprentice Scheme you will need to be aged between 16 and 24 years old, and have 5 GCSEs at Grades A-C including Maths and English. You must be enthusiastic and willing to learn. Recent apprentices have worked towards Engineering, Telemetry, HGV, Operating Process Plant and Vehicle Maintenance qualifications. They have gained Nationally recognised qualifications and their salaries have increased at assessed stages throughout their Apprenticeship as their skills developed. Opportunities to undertake apprenticeships vary depending on the needs of the business.
